My Next Weight Loss Attempt July 25, 2015

This was me on yet another weight loss attempt. As you may have read in this blog, I began this quest in September of 2013. But then my mom passed away in that same month. So, I didn’t really make a real attempt until around May 19, 2014. My weight was 260 pounds when I started. When I finally stopped I weighed around 235 pounds. It was a 25 lbs. loss after 28 weeks of going to the gym.

After 28 weeks my shoulder pain had caused me to quit. I never broke through to 220 lbs. By the time of this effort on July 25, 2015 I had regained all the weight I had lost, plus 9 pounds. This effort did not last long.

I was following a program called, The 4 Hour Body (not worth your time reading). I bought the book after a friend of mine told me about it. It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever tried. The main stay of the diet was protein, beans and lentils. It caused my blood sugar to spike and I have never experienced such hunger in all my life. You were supposed to eat every 3-4 hours. I was ravenous at every meal! And..I didn’t lose any weight. This diet simply made no sense to me.

In the picture above, I weighed 269 pounds. The effort lasted about 2 weeks. I gave up for a while; until March 13, 2016 when I began my current effort.
