Christmas 2019

Happy holidays everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas. I know I did. I drove home to Texas, the Houston area, a little place called Baytown. I drove in to see my dad and other family members; my brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, and, cousins, and a few friends. In my feature photo at the top, I am showing you most of my great-nieces and nephews. A couple of them are missing. They did not make it over to where we were this night. All the kids had a great time. They received some great gifts. I think some of them were just as happy with the boxes that the gifts came out from. That always seems to be the case.

Before I left, even my kitty cat got a Christmas present. A new bed and a few toys.

It was great to see my family again. It has been a year since the last time I was here. Everyone seems to be doing really well. Things are always changing and mostly for good.

I did not even try to fast during the holiday. But on the day after Christmas, I was right back on task. I am already on the second day of my 18:6 fasting schedule. It hasn’t been too difficult and I feel pretty good about it.

I have to say though that I have been in some serious pain for about the past three weeks. I’m having sciatic pain down both legs, to the point where I am actually limping when I walk. I may even have to break out my cane if this keeps up. When I get back to South Carolina, I will start back in the gym. Hopefully, this will get things moving and maybe help with some of the pain. It always seems to help.

I look forward to getting back, and, and getting back into my routine. Also, right before I left on my trip to Texas I received a new and better saxophone. It was a little bit more expensive than the last one I bought but, the quality is light years better. It is so much easier to play. I am looking forward to putting in some serious practice time.

I wish I could stay longer in Texas. There are so many people that I have not gotten to see and haven’t seen for a very long time. But, I have bills to pay and must get back to work, as we all do.

I hope you all had a great break because it’s now time to get back to work. Have a happy new and blessed year in 2020!
