Beginning this past Monday, I have modified my fasting regimen. I had been fasting 18 to 20 hours a day. I have not lost any weight for the longest time, even though my blood glucose has been excellent. With the change in my fasting, I have started to lose weight again. So far, I’m down 6 pounds.
I have switched to an alternating daily fasting schedule. Four days up eating normally; at least two meals a day). The other three (down days), I fast 36-42 hours. It was no more challenging than what I was already doing. It has been pretty easy.
I had a few hunger pains, but nothing very hard. I have managed to eat at least two meals on my up days. It was kind of hard because I got full quickly. I guess my stomach is shrinking because of less time eating.
I am planning to follow this fasting plan for seven weeks. I do it long if I feel I am able. More than likely, I will revert to the 18-20 hour fast day to maintain my weight (whatever it may be). It depends on how I feel. Currently, I like the result. I’m energetic, my mind is clear, and THE WEIGHT LOSS!
I will update when or if things change, good or bad. I am very excited right now.
If you would like to know more about what am doing, check out a book I’m reading by Gin Stephens, “Fast, Feast, Repeat.” It is available on Amazon.
I am happy to read this plan is working out for you, Tony! 😀 Keep up the good work, you are doing so well!
