I’m on my 2nd 36-hour fast this week! I did one from Sunday night until Tuesday morning. Wednesday and Thursday, I fasted 20 hours between eating windows.
I have been consistent with my zero-carb diet thus far. I’m not having many hunger pains or cravings. So, that’s good. I’ve been staying hydrated and doing some walking.
I have known from the beginning of this process years ago that I need to consider this a lifetime, permanent change. Knowing what to do and knowing how to get myself to do what I know to do are two different things. And right now, its a force of my will and knowing I have the strength in Christ to succeed. That’s all I’ve got.
I feel great. I saw a doctor this morning about my shoulder. Of course, by the time of the appointment, my shoulder was feeling a lot better. They did four X-rays, which showed little to nothing. So, no surgery in my near future. He gave me a shot of steroids in the shoulder to help with the pain He also gave me a referral to a physical therapy facility. I probably won’t go. I still remember the exercises from the last time I went. Its about saving money.
Last night, though, I had a weird feeling and vague pain in my gut. It caused me some radiating pain in my chest and shoulders. It scared me to the point of almost driving myself to the ER.
The feeling was less strong if I propped myself up in bed. So, I did that and was able to fall asleep. I woke up several times, but I think I got enough sleep. I was up at 6 A.M. ready to go.
Anyway, I will continue doing what I’m doing, forever!
